Engagements.

The firm is retained in one of two ways: for a single review of a defined environment, or for a continuing engagement, in which reviews are conducted at a cadence agreed with the principal.

A single review is commonly retained before a transition, a handover, or a significant event. A continuing engagement establishes a verified baseline at the first review, against which each subsequent review is conducted, including whether the standard holds while the principal is absent.

Where an environment can be observed only in part, such as a vessel alongside or an aircraft on the ground, the limitation is stated in writing before the engagement begins and recorded in the report.

Scope, cadence, and terms are confirmed in a written agreement before any engagement begins. Fees are discussed privately once scope is established.

Engagements are accepted by appointment and are limited in number. Enquiries are received by email at private@windsorbutler.com, and answered personally.
